Well, I tell ya, it’s been raining pretty much non-stop since last week and whilst I’m really enjoying the cooler weather after the extreme heat of last month, being permanently damp is getting old. My dogs haven’t been for a walk in a week and everybody’s getting pretty cranky.
Because there’s very little drainage here, most places in the village are underwater. This is our lane

Crazy right? The rain is forecast to continue for at least another ten days with a two-day break of sunshine in between (I’ll be doing my laundry on those days).
Last weekend, before the flooding got too bad, we went on a good old fashioned pub crawl. There are several birthdays in November and it was decided to celebrate them all. Our first stop was Lost Reef Resort – approximately 30 minutes drive from Placencia.
I was ill last week and hadn’t been out at all, so it was lovely to see everyone again.

There were two more stops after that but we bailed after The Green Parrot.
