We’ve had tons of rain these past couple of weeks, which has kept us indoors a lot. We managed to take Abby for the walk most days, but there was one day last week where we just couldn’t go and she pouted pretty much the whole day.

Lucy sat on the veranda wall waiting for it to stop.

Daisy made herself comfortable on the bed

and even Mr. Big graced us with his presence

So I took advantage of the cooler weather and spring cleaned my house and cooked a few freezer meals. I found a lovely food blog called Nourished Kitchen. Natural whole foods recipes and the three that I made last week were so delicious, I had two helpings! I still had enough left over to freeze for the following week.
Garam Masala Chicken Curry, Italian Sausages Braised in Tomato Sauce, and Yucatan Lime Soup. Yummm, and I don’t have to cook next week!

During a brief break in the rain, I ventured onto the Sidewalk to try out a new Cafe, called Hibuscus Cafe, that had opened a few weeks ago. I’d heard good things and wanted to see for myself. Freshly painted in lovely bright colours

I loved the colourful signs advertising some of the goodies that they sold.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner, it all looked really good. I had a smoothie and a waffle

A really pleasant place to spend some time.

Finally, the sun came out on Sunday and a friend took me to Maya Beach for breakfast. Afterwards, we sat on the pier and contemplated life. The water was calm and crystal clear.
